Membership Benefits
A Membership card gives a club attendee active status. Active members are eligible to vote/run
in E-board elections, rent items from the library, and have access to member-exclusive discounts
at various local businesses. While showings and events are open to unpaid members, only
active members get the real privileges offered by the RIT Anime Club. The club has been active
for years to provide active members rewards for their role in aiding the club. Membership
funds are not-for-profit and are returned to the members in the form of prizes, events, giveaways,
and additional items in the library.
The membership rates are as follows:
- $5 for one quarter
- $9 for two quarters
- $13 for one academic year
Purchase your membership from the Treasurer at any Thursday meeting.
The Library
The RIT Anime Club Library is located in Clubspace on the second floor of the SAU RITreat.
Every Thursday at 10 P.M. (or after the showing), the library opens to active members with
a membership card. The library has over 1,500 DVDs, VHS tapes, and manga to rent, so there's
plenty to choose from. We ask that you return your items the following Thursday before the
meeting begins. Fees will be charged for late returns and damaged or misplaced items, so
please make sure to return items on time and in the condition that they were checked out in
so that other members may check them out.
The Library runs on a point system. 6 points worth of items can be rented weekly. Each item
costs points to rent, which are distributed as follows:
- DVD = 3 points
- VHS = 2 points
- Manga = 2 points
